2017 Ministerial Workshop on Regional Cooperation of "16+1" Countries for Central and Eastern European Countries organized by Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO), Ministry of Commerce, P. R. China, was held from June 6 to June 15 in Beijing, Shanghai and Ningbo. 8 officials from Ministry of Economics of Latvia, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia and Ministry of Agriculture of Latvia were invited to participate this seminar.
The Seminar included two parts: lectures and field trips. The main contents of the lectures included: The Governing Ideas and Style of China’ s New Leadership, China’s Opening-up & Economic Development, The vision of establishing the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road, China’s Policies and Measures on Attracting Foreign Investments, China’s Regional Cooperation and Going out Strategy, China "13th Five-Year" national economic and social development planning, and so on.
The Latvian officials visited China Development Bank, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Shanghai Institutes of International Studies. They also attended the 3rd China-CEEC Investment and Trade Expo in Ningbo.
