On July 29, Mr. Shen Xiaokai, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Latvia, attended the Closing Ceremony of the First Latvian Online Wushu Championship at the invitation of Mr. Roman Vlasenko, Member of Board of Latvian Sports Wushu Federation, and presented medals to the winners. Recently, 60 Latvian wushu athletes performed more than 100 traditional or modern Taolu in the championship.
In his speech, Mr. Shen Xiaokai congratulated Latvian Sports Wushu Federation for successfully holding the Online Wushu Championship during the COVID-19, hoped that the competition would improve the Wushu skills of the contestants. Mr. Shen Xiaokai praised the Training Center of Ministry of Commerce of China and Henan University of Technology for holding multiple training seminars on Wushu and Tai Chi, which actively promoted the communication and cooperation of Wushu between China and Latvia.
